    Default water pump

    Hi all

Noticed yesterday the commodore had a leak under it was a red fluid thought it was power steering fluid, turns out a leaking water pump seal, car has just clicked over 197,000km so i know its general wear and tear,

Has it happened to anyone's cars before? just wanting to know round about how much it may cost, Have it booked in for monday to get fixed

    Cheers

got mine done today on my ls1 its a different engine but this is just to give u a rough idea.

I got the water pump for $150 of a forum meber on ls1 but wes quoted $278 from bursons and $320 from repco. The install cost me $170. Dont know about the alloytec but my old man had one done on his vs ecotec and said it only cost him like $200 parts and labour.
