Just got a dyno done today on my l98 6l
max power 369.1 hp @ 6559rpm after cam ,convert to kw = 275.24kw
max power 270.5 hp @ 5842 rpm before cam ,covert to hp = 201.71kw
I thought the car was already 270kw not 270hp standard, 270kw = 362.07hp anyway so really i have only got a gain of 5.24hp at the wheels!
So in the standard run it look's like they have used hp instead of kw to make it appear as if it has made a bigger increase in power
Owned!!!!!!!!!!! Hey want to buy a battery that will make your car sound like it has a supercharger ????
Me? I'm the guy who does his job ... you must be the other guy ...
Remember when you buy a car the KW'S are measured from the flywheel FW-KW's without power steering or air con etc.
When you've done your dyno today its measured from the rear wheels so its RW-KW"s
There is around 24-25% difference from the flywheel to the rear tires
So if you have it in horsepower and you don't like what you see go back and ask them to print you one off in kW'S
It was 270kw at the flywheel not the wheels so 270hp at the wheels is pretty right stock
Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise

lol blackyeah my comment is in relation to my previous Battery Issue thread hehe. I would actually believe it too, bloody kids these days ...
Ash appears to be right on the money with this too, 275rwkw = 368rwhp in the old metric.

amazing how much power you acctually lose through the transmission, prop shaft, rear diff, drive shafts, tyres and rim package![]()
I can't see how you could get confused..
First run is 200rwkw.. Second run is 270rwkw.. So you have obvisouly gained 70rwkw..
The 270kw that comes standard is measued at the fly.. which is basically 270hp or 200kw at the wheels.
its confusing cos he converts hp to hp and somehow gets a diff number.

go here Online Conversion - Power Conversion and do your conversion. As I said before, 275rwkw = 368rwhp
and ...
LOL!!! Twin supercharged LS1 ........ wtf? hehe, think we've been drinking the acid from the batteries![]()

yeah, so you've actually gained 74rwkw from the cam and tune not 5.24kw

yeah that looks better.
