    Default New Wheels Dilemma

Hey guys, I've got a dilemma on my hands. I wanna get new wheels on my car and I've been getting a lot of recommendations from people. I wanted some die-hard drivers advice so I thought I'd post it up on the forums.

    My car.

    And then there's my choices.
Either the VZ II Maloo Rims.

    Or the VY Signature rims

Whats been frustrating me heaps is the fact that some say the VY rims are good cos they're some massive dish something or other and on the other hand I have people telling me the VZ rims look better and its just a vicious circle that's confusing me. Oh and ontop of that circle I'm also being told that keeping it stock also looks great. =/

I've found some pictures of what the wheels look on the cars. Hopefully it can help with some comparison.

Wheels are probably the last thing I get done to the car. But some advice really would help sort out this mess of mine.

what do you care what others are telling you what looks good and what doesnt.
are you doing it for yourself or for everyone else?

what do YOU think looks good on your car - thats what you should get.

I think the maloo rims look better.

each to their own though, would look sweet with a set of my old advanti fusions on it in 18 or 19"
theyd suit the old man colour

Mmm thats a possibility true. But I'm not keen on making it look extremely eye catching. I don't want my car to be eye candy, just have a nice subtlety to it. I'm willing to have to deal with the prices of genuines.

    SIGS ALL THE WAY!

nothing looks better on a VY/VZ then those beauties. Ive been looking for a set for prob over 6 months, appear to be rare as shit.

tell me if you find some, and for some crazy reason dont buy em yourself!

    edit:

do you know anything about that pic you have of the Calais with the sigs? they look too small to be 19's?

Its your choice in the end you have to been seen in the car

Sigs are too common these days, well they are where i live..

I prefer the 20" VE supersports hence why I put them on my Berlina

Down in Melb, GTR. If you want second hand I honestly don't know where from you can get them, WK only does brand new.

I'm leaning towards the VZ II Maloo wheels now.

people up here in bris are asking 2.5K sencond hand for them, they can SHOVE IT!

Wish i was in Melbourne, well just long enough to view some rims and buy them lol. have seen some cheapies from down your way, but i refuse to buy shit(especially for that money) without seeing it in person.

So yeah waiting for a reasonable priced set to come up in Brisbane and they're mine.

    back on topic:

I've seen sigs and don't like the look. I think I might go for the Maloo's. If not that get the car worked on then lowered.

    small country town lol..

there are atleast 10-12 cars here getting around with sigs.

The replicas are the way to go.. hell of a lot cheaper and you can also get them in 20" if you chose.

Just get a set freighted, Most of the big name tyre places only charge about $80-100 for freight.

This place sells them and many other holden wheels in replica and genuine, I purchased my supersports from here..

Sigs are available in champaigne gold, silver and black in 19" and 20"

$1880 new wheel and tyres for 19's cant go wrong! champaigne in color

    19" gold replicas

$1980 for silver ones in 19's
    19" silver replicas

Compared to $4K for genuine with tyres from the same site.

Search the site for senator and it will bring them up, wheels can be bought on their own for about $500 cheaper..

Im trying to find some genuines second hand.

Spending that much on rims, id rather pay abit more and get genuine items.

Plus see pic below for quality difference lol, This is what happened to some copies, also put me off:
