Afternoon all...
Is there a right and wrong way to clean the engine bay..
I used to put degreasers on previous vehicles and hot wash but now
with eight coils and electrics sitting on the rocker covers..
Yes I intend expose the engine so I can clean the build up around oil filler neck and rocker covers etc...No real oil leaks just attention to detail
stuff!
I would rather ask advise of experts first..
Thanks in advance.
Levick.
just do your best to not get water on the coils/plug sockets/alarm and other electrics, maybe cover your coil pack with a rag or two also be carful with what degreaser you are using.. some heavy duty stuff can root your paint.. but spray on canned stuff from supercheap or whatever will be fine

i just lightly spray the motor if the covers are off, if the covers are in the motor i just use the pressure cleaner on it, perfectly fine,
all the plugs and connectors on the these motors are sealed and water tight, so its no real drama with water on them

Prob best to cover electrical parts with a small freezer bag then u spray degreaser over what needs cleaning.

most electrical connects are semi water proof now days. as long as you do not aim at the straight at them they are fine. degrease my VZ every month or so and no problemes.
