Hey guys,
Im gonna get a new battery for my VZ wagon. I've been occasionally getting the "ABS fault" beep and also sometimes it won't kick over straight away if not driven for a couple of days.
Is it as simple as just buying a new battery myself, take off battery leads/terminals, take out old battery, throw in new one, replace leads/terminals?
I just don't wanna upset computer/electrical stuff if that's possible???
Cheers![]()
Bingo! Just plug and play buddy. The only way you can upset the computer is if you are trying to jumpstart it...
Me? I'm the guy who does his job ... you must be the other guy ...
make sure not to get the terminals mixed up otherwise ZAAAPPPPPPP
Batteries do have terminals reversed, so if you get the wrong one (can be the right CCA but with reversed terminals) you could plug the wrong plug ontot he wrong terminal.
Just double check, black goes to - and red positive goes to + on the battery![]()
play it safe and go to holdens, that way you cnat muck up and if holden do it costs them.
Chev badges are an instant fail
Two 10mm's on the terminals
One 13mm on the carrier
Lift out old battery
Place in new battery
Reinstall terminals
Reinstall carrier
Enjoy.
thanks for the replies guys.
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the carrier?
