I thought the VCM tune was always available to the alloytecs, i didnt know they were limited to manual, well until now. Or is this somethign different, and im just making a fool out of myself?![]()
he's refering to them being able to tune the actual transmission not the ecu. they can tune the ecu of auto or manual.
So what do they do to the auto?
refine shift points change how fast the box changes gears. retune what gears it uses in what situations. kick downs etc...
odd i just checked the VCM forums and they haven't said anything about this.
I know with the vcm tune on the motor if i hit it in first in drive it revs to 7k, im guessing i will be able to take it back to 6.5k with a tune. I will have to ring CHE and see if they have heard anything about this yet.
i thought you could always tune these?
As above :P
Scweet haha
SWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT! cant wait until i get mine done!! should be amazing!

awesome, i hate how laggy the active select is lol
Matt Stocker was talking to VCM on thursday and nothing was mentioned...
Matt will ask again straight up today...
Dale's heard nothing about this he said he'll ask today. he did say that he noticed afew weeks ago he was able to read the auto tune and it "did funny things".
take a guess. changes faster and change shift and kick down points.
Just a quick kinda off topic question, in PWR mode i know the gearboxes up/down shift points change but does it make the changes quicker / more aggressive also? It seems it does but ive been doing some testing with my car since it was VCM tuned and it seems to get to 100 quicker without the PWR mode on?
nope cant tune 5speed autos... Greg was interested to know which VCM the OP went too....
bloody hell, had to happen didn't it >.< the IDIOT who said that it was now available should be sacked from the industry. However it's rather interesting that he said he was at VCM Performance? I mean I know the product is not theirs and is actually developed by a US company, but wtf?
Me? I'm the guy who does his job ... you must be the other guy ...
there is no vcm performance workshop? don't they call their shop something else.
