Hi All,
I see an increasing number of customers who have purchased wheels/tyres (particularly in the larger diameters) which are illegal for their vehicle and the customer was not aware.
It is a legal requirement in ALL states of Australia that the Load Rating of your wheels and tyres is equal to or greater than the minimum rating specified by the manufacturer for that particular model of vehicle. The minimum for your vehicle is shown on your tyre placard and will generally say something like "...the wheels/tyres fitted to this vehicle shall have a minimum load rating/index of...." see image:
It is not always as simple as saying that all of a particular series has the same rating as the following example shows:
A VS Exec with 205/65R15 had a min of 95
A VS Exec with 215/60R16 had a min of 94
A VS Ute with 215/60R15 had a min of 93
A VS Maloo Ute with 225/45R17 had a min of 90
Because there are approximately ~800 different Make/Series/Model/Tyre combinations I don't want to record what each tyre placard says but rather where each tyre placard is located so as we have a reference for people to find their own placard.
RULES: No Banter - it's a reference only
Post your Year/Model/Series/Variant and the location of the placard.
Example: 1996 VS Ute V6 - Under Bonnet
I will compile the reference into the first page. If your vehicle has already been listed in this post please don't post again.
I'll start
