I've run 18x8 +48 with 245/40R18 and also 19x8.5 +35 with 245/35R19, the back of my car is lower than fe2 and I had zero troubles. My opinion would be all good.

Every car is different but the numbers stack up fine for a VY and I'd suggest you won't have any dramas as sweefu already mentioned.

I have a VR Pretty low (in my album) and with 19 inch sigs on it with 245/35r19s wondering if I put 245/40r19s would cause any problems? I'm due for a new set of Tyres and was looking at getting federals 595 same as on ssv, ss VE.

I have standard rims and standard tyres on a vp commodore wagon, can someone be kind enough to tell me
what size rims (mags) would fit on the vp wagon along with good tyres.

I'm not a car expert like you guys and dont know much, but the help here can help me out big time.

You can fit up to 19's with 235/35R19 tyres legally so long as it isn't a calais.

Calais requires a 92 load rating minimum which means a 235/35R19 is not load rated. Largest legal size is therefore a 235/40R18.

    Default rim and wheel size

    hi, new to the thread.

i recently bought a vy clubsport with standard 18" wheels.

i was thinking of getting springs for the car with 19" rims.

or is it okay to go 20" with or without the springs?

    Hey Jarrard,

I am thinking of purchasing a wheel and tyre package from you in the next few weeks. I am tossing up between your 18" HB-R package and your 20" Madrid package. I drive a 1999 VT commodore executive, my tyre placard says I have a limit of 240 for the front and rear, load index of 92 and a speed rating of H. What package would you recommend as I have heard there can be some issues with 20" wheels such as inner camber wear etc. ?

Camber wear has nothing to do with the wheels/tyres you run really, it is about your suspension. Both the packages will suit your car.

I have created a simple spreadsheet explaining recommended tyre sizes by model and rim diameter which may or may not prove useful to everyone. Whilst it is a good guide, it is just that; a guide. Please don't think that other fitments aren't possible but the recommendations made are based on generally accepted legal practices and experience. Some states have varying laws which may or may not conflict with the recommendations made.

I know people have put 'extreme' fitments onto vehicles such as 22" wheels but the guide makes recommendations on what can be done legally in most states.

    All feedback is encouraged.

    Cheer guys
Great effort, Thanks for the chart, makes it much more simple to work out what to do.

    Cheers

I'm looking at the following staggered wheel and tyre combination for my 1999 VT SS (non lowered / standard FE2 SS suspension).

    Front:
    19 x 8.5 (PCD / ET: 5H x 120 / ET35) running a 245/35/19 tyre

    Back:
    19 x 9.5 (PCD / ET: 5H x 120 / ET35) running a 265/30/19 tyre

The above keeps the rolling diameter as close as possible to the original factory set-up, which is fine, and the 8.5 with the 245 on the front will be fine, but wanted to check to see if the 265's will cause issue with the re scrubbing the strut tower?

    Cheers
