Hi Mick,
Depending on the wheel this may be the case. If the wheels are 'reverse mount' type which most polished lip alloys are, then it shouldn't be a problem. If they are 'normal mount' wheels they may not be able to change the tyre without damaging the rimskins. I have heard of tyre fitters being able to change tyres with them still on the rims, but since each rim is different in design and size (marginally) it is really up to the fitter, the equipment and the tyre mounting style which will determine if they must come off. Regardless, I would ask the fitter to see if he can reverse mount the tyre first, if not have a go at mounting the tyre in the normal fashion and if they come off they come off.
FYI - reverse mount means that the rim is placed face down on the machine and the tyre is mounted over the inner rim. Normal mounting is when the rim is placed on the machine face up and the tyre is mounted over the outer rim.

The Wheel Deal
Thanks alot for your help mate!
Jarrad do you know if they are looking at doing yellow at all?
cool, might get some reds for mine and yellow for the missus car
They won't work on the Choppers
Because of the raised edges around the rim edge they aren't suitable...
Will these suit WH Grange wheels? And how far off will the silver rimskins be from a shadow chrome wheel?
