Sumitomo (manufacturer of Dunlop, Falken, Ohtsu & it's own Sumitomo branded products) is increasing prices on all of its exported tires, including those sold in Australia, as of Jan. 1, 2011.
The 5% to 10% increases (some prices will be raised as much as 15%, Sumitomo said) will cover passenger, light truck/SUV, medium truck and motorcycle tires sold in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Whilst it may take several weeks for price rises to take affect locally, any customer planning on purchasing Sumitomo manufactured product would be advised to do so as soon as possible to avoid the pending price increase.
