    Hey there I would recommend a 2.5" X-plode 100cell cat.

    Where abouts are you located?

We only specialise in exhausts and will have a 2.5" stainless steel system soon.

Depends what sort of work you have done to it. Gathering by your signature but it does not state how much power your are making. I would recommend depending on the power output a 2.5" 100cell cat and when it becomes available our 2.5" stainless steel catback exhaust.

It's only a mild V6 at the moment, my aim is about 150kw at the rears, current exhaust setup is just pacemakers into stock exhaust with rear resonator removed. (current power around 120rws approx)

Work is really only just beginning on the motor, with insulators and spacers, high ratio rockers coming soon, new custom air intake (CAI), probably a bigger TB, haven't decided yet.

It's on Dual fuel, so the end target is to really see how much power I can get out of an N/A V6 on dual fuel with the emphasis on low down torque and getting a solid powerband right through the rev range. Main problem at the moment is deciding on which way to go about it, if I work the heads, LPG works well with higher compression, but I would need to run on dedicated gas to warrant it, however, to really make the most out of that I would have to forfeit the carby mixer IMPCO system and go to direct injection, which is another costly exercise. So if I went for a straight fuel, it would most likely to be on petrol.

Hopefully alot of power can be picked up with the dyno tune at the end, which should eliminate the flat spots, get the power up, get the ignition timing A1...run a dual map memcal, with a perfect tune for both fuels. If that doesn't work out too well, will probably run a primary tune, i.e. petrol 98 as the primary fuel, might be able to pick up better power out of one of them, rather than a mix of both. See how we go.

Anyway, based on the above, I have considered a redback 2.5" with no rear resi, though I have heard mixed reports.

Hey mate, how much for two 2.25" x-plode cats fitted? I have a twin 2.25" exhaust, so don't think the 2.5" would work or would it??

And guys you realise that any mods to an exhaust aren't really legal, just do it and be happy with it!!!

Noise is one thing, but are they emmision compliant?

I don't think there are any 100cpsi cats that are emmision compliant on newer model cars. Otherwise I'm sure HSV etc would probably be fitting them.

As for emissions standards no they are not but we have 200CPSI that are however most people who do exhaust upgrades want the maximum flow hence why they opt for the 100CPSI options. Alot of people as well want their exhausts loud weather they are legal or not. It is personal choice. As for 2.25" X-plode Cat it will cost $160 to your door.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate in contacting me.
