    Default Bennett “HI-PORT” alloy heads

i am still looking around at my options for heads are in the ol' 308. i dont really want to change my exhaust/inlet or cam so was looking for direct bolt on option and came across the Bennett “HI-PORT” alloy heads.

is this the right place to get info on these heads?

Hey I know a guy with the old style yella terra heads, his Torana had a stock bottom end (with big solid cam) 308 and these heads with two webbers on it, was making around 400 hp at the flywheel and running low 12's. He's gone to VN heads now but it was a good setup

dont want ebay, want new. stuff ebay for parts like this. just buying someone elses problems.

i spose' i may as well get into the q's then.

basically i wanted to know what the egr port setup was. i would need the square port with two holes in the middle. yes, i know these will most probably not have egr on them, but the 2 center bolts will need to match my edelbrock manifold, else i will need to tig them up or get a new one. (i would prefer to do neither of those two options)

also was wondering what the intake runners, chamber cc's and valve sizes were, and would they be a little too wild for my setup? stock stroke, .020 over flat tops, .020 from zero deck, .030 MLS head gasket, crane 286 dialed at 0, anti pumps, pacemaker headers, edelbrock performer dual plane, street terra shaft rockers 1.65, modded quaddy, 6al, etc.

also, vpw have them for just under 2200, is that about the right price, or is there somewhere i can get them a bit cheaper? not tryin to be tight, but spent a few dollars on this engine already and tryin' to build a chevy
