hey guys i have recently changed my lim gaskets, now its all back together the charger is making funny noises at high rpm (3-4000...) I noticed a bit of oil coming out of the front between the snout and the pulley. Does the pulley have a o ring type seal or does it have a press in seal in the snout and where do i got a new 1 in brisbane and i need some charger oil 2.
Also which bung on the front of the charger is the filler? and how much oil do they need?
Cheers matt
Hey Matt,
There is a press in type seal behind the pulley, like a rear transmission seal, the snout needs to be pulled apart to change this, the oil they hold is 160ml total fill of full synthitic oil, i can change the seal for you if you can send it down to me, and oil is only about $25. the filler is either on the pass side of the case or front plug, depending on how old the gear case is
,
let me know if you wanna send it down or i can send parts up to you
Cheers
Mike
Thanks mike. ill get back to u on the parts. ill talk t my mechanic, and my mate who works at precision international and see wat they can come up with...
cheers matt.
all good now mate. apparently they dont like washers. as my charger picked one up from some where and spat it. also on the in side of the snout there was a tiny little lip that casued the seal to blow out. got engine engineering to machine it out and sleeve it back to standed size...
