Hi,
I have a 6L that has had cam and head work done I was wondering if I wanted to supercharge it what would have to be done? Who's best to talk to?
You can supercharge them, but cam specs and lift etc all account to how well it works..
Most people get a cam to suit a supercharger or turbo.
Do the heads come into it??
no they will just help in mking more power they will have no impact in a negative way on the charger install only a positive as said you may have to change the cam to one that suits better it all comes down to cam specs
depends mate most tuners worth there salt will be able to make most street cams work with FI with out any dramas. Talk to who ever is going to tune your car as his the one thats ganna have to make the choice wheather he can or cannot tune that cam to suit FI

Whipples will work well with most mild to aggressive N/A cams, the main concern is the lobe separation bleeding off boost. This maybe more of a concern for the smaller blowers needing every bit of their capacity to produce 'efficient' boost on the 6L. With our own experiences and feed back from our customers with our Whipple kits, we’ve found N/A cams have made as much power as specifically ground 'PD cams'.
My own VE 6.0L (YT Promo Car) was N/A set up a couple of years ago to run on the dyno at the SummerNats to promote some N/A products for the VE.
(Higgins’s CNC Ported Heads, aggressive HP-F Stage 3 spec cam, YellaTerra Ultralite Rockers and OTR, HM Twin 3” Exhaust, STD unopened bottom end).
It made a healthy 410HP at the treads, up at the SummerNats, which we were happy with.
Because a lot of our customers have had 'Head and Cam Packages' already fitted well before they’ve decided to FI…..we decided to fit our 2.9L Whipple kit to our VE and not change any of the N/A spec’d upgrades. We returned to the SummerNats the following year with the Whipple VE and ran a 615HP at the treads on the same dyno with 10psi on pump 98….needless to say the N/A combo under the Whipple worked well.

Thanks mate that helps a lot sound similar to my sitch. what would you expect it to cost to do what you guys have done to the VE and who should I go see in the Sydney area?
