Wink vs commodore v6 rollers?

Ive got a vs commodore 1995 series 1 v6 ecotec

mods

stage 2 shift kit
mini spool 3,9 diff gears

chip and pod filter

is it worth upgrading the roller rockers at all?

i cant think of anything else small to do i think roller upgrade is the only next thing with the price range

Ive been told if i upgrade them it will only make the revs flow a bit smoother and it wont give me much power or torq is this true?

No.
The high ratio rockers will give you a significant and noticable power increase. The exact figure varies with different set ups but the average is about 10%. I can remember fitting the first set of 1.8's we made to My VT about 5 years ago and noticed the gain as soon as I pulled onto the street. Today we have the Ultra light 1.95 that are better still.
Cheers.
Mark.

Hey there,

I've got a 96 VS V6 with cai, k&n panel filter, HM headers to single 2.5" lukey cat back, LSD. Rockers would be the next logical upgrade, yes? If i were to get a set of the 1.95 ultralites after these mods, what sort of gains would be experienced? Like, are there any solid rwkw or fwkw figures that you guys at YT have witnessed? I'm interested to know thats all, but i will definately be getting a set in the near future. Good to know theyre new, cheaper and have roller tips as opposed to the FIT ones. Good work guys and thanks in advance

My last upgrade was from YT 1.8stealth rockers to 1.9in/1.95exh Split ratio (works better with the supercharged engine) and you could notice the difference straight away and I already had 185+rwkw combo.
Haven't had it dynoed yet since the upgrade but seat of the pants feel was noticable.

i think i want to get them. where abouts in Melbourne?

and is the 1.95 the biggest and best option for that amount of money without doing any other mods ?

what comes out stock in the vs?

i want to get them thou im a little worried if i spend 700 bucks and i cant notice a difference in power.

the only problem i have is i cant hold 2nd gear burnouts hehe. its close now from the mods i have done but i need the extra punch! i reckon 15kw would be enough im guessing

In Melbourne they are available from; Repco, Bursons, VPW, Superplus, and most tuners or engine reconditioners, or direct from us at Moorabbin.
Stock ratio is advertised at 1.7 but measures 1.65
Cheers.

Hi
does YT have an ultra high ratio rocker, such as a 1.97 or 1.98:1 for the ecotec?

If so how much am i looking at (fitted) or how much from factory?

Nah. 1.95 is as high as we go.
They are all the same price regardless of ratio.
