Advanced driver training

Guys.
We have organized a track day at Sandown for Yella Terra customers on Feb 16th 2008 with John Bowe driver training.

It's a custom itinerary designed for car enthusiasts incorporating defensive driving in the morning, including what causes a skid, how to handle a skid, judging breaking distances etc etc.
Then advanced driving techniques in the afternoon with cornering instruction and a motorkana etc.

You are instructed in your own car, and at your own pace with 4 instructors on hand.
Start time is 8.30am finishing at about 4.30pm with lunch provided.

All of us, and everyone we know that has done this type of course raves about how much fun it is and how valuable the skills are on the road especially for young drivers.

The whole day costs $350.00 each which is well below thier normal pricing and a small price to pay for something that could save your car or even your life.

i did a defensive driving course at sandown feb last year in a vy ss it was fun gettin to thrash a car you cant afford lol
but it has helped me with awerness on the road and i'm very alert although after doing one you dont think the same ab out driving its harder to relax on the road but they are great i think all new driver's should do them

INTRODUCTORY PERFORMANCE DRIVER TRAINING

John Bowe Driving in conjunction with Yella Terra have developed a specific driver training course to give you a chance to experience an exclusive Advanced & Performance Driver Training course together with a friendly group of people.

This course is a full day event and comprises practical driving activities conducted in your own car. There are many aspects that you will learn from the day, including simple changes to your seating position to maximize control of your car, the importance of vision along the road/circuit ahead and an awareness of how to safely control a high powered vehicle. All of this is conducted in a controlled environment with professional instructors helping you throughout the day.

If you have not completed any course’s in the past or if you have only completed a basic defensive driving courses then this event will be a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of how to control your car. If you have been out on the track previously without any tuition then this will help you to take the next step towards High Performance driving. This level of training will allow you to practice the skills required to drive on a race track quickly and safely.

Course key points include:
* Threshold braking techniques
* Throttle control
* Advanced vehicle dynamics
* Learning to not "overdrive" so as to be smoother but faster
* How to make corners "flow" by correct use of vision
* Personal certificate
This course is being run specifically for the Yella Terra group and is not available to the public.
