Remember to put the piston at TDC on each cylinder b4 doing final torque down. This position has the least load on the valve spring so you can get a more accurate torque reading and hold the rocker square to the valve stem tip because they go off centre as the bolt tightens.

Remove the spark plugs, turn the balancer by the bolt with a shifter clockwise because this is the normal operating direction of the motor. It is quite easy to rotate once the plugs are out. TDC is when both valves are shut, that is the main thing because then the springs are relaxed as much as they can be and the torque reading is better.

Don't worry, nothing will stuff up when you go to start it again because the CAS and CAm sens will work out where piston 1 is to fire it up again

    Thats correct,
also over tightening can cause the pedestal to be squished down giving you too much

It would be worth taking off your covers and having a go at backing them off and torque them up to 25ft, it may fix your noise if they are loose.
