Default heads and cam.

Hey,
I have a VR S1 BT1 V6, I want to find out if yella make stageX(whatever) heads.
If so are they complete ready to bolt on(roller rockers, valves etc)
Also do you supply cams, if not do you recommend a cam to suit the head package.

Cheers, dave

I just checked the YT site.
There was nothing under holden, but I looked in buick and found part # YT3800LCH (I think).
I'm after a polished and ported heads with rockers for a mild cam.

Do you not read, VRV6BT1? Polishing your head ports is not conducive to power. It is a myth. (I only learned that reading the last SC lol)

Sorry VRV6BT1.
We no longer do the re-manufactured heads and have no plans for a new (pre-ecotec) head at this time.
Crow Cams have cam and memcal packages in different stages. You might try giving Marty a call. 039 357 0469

Cheers.
Mark.

No one does them in production batches to a set recipe like we used to (that I'm aware of) but lots of engine reconditioners and head shops around that will do a custom job.

Yeah I know custom jobs are available through head shops etc but they generally can't match mass production in terms of value for money on a given job.

Years ago there was a white VH? with a body kit (group Cish I think) in a magazine with maybe alloy heads that was the yellaterra test car and was leaving some nice lines up and down the road during "testing" photos in some magazine. Nice car , one I allways remember

I know the one. It was originally one of the 5 shells HDT took to Bathurst in 84 I think, was owned and used as a daily driver by our supercharger product manager Matt for many years and is now fully restored to it's original race condition and living in sunny Queensland.
And yes it used to do a decent patch.
