Default ls1 roller rockers

I want to get some 1.8 ratio roller rockers for my vx ss. I have been told that i need to get some heat treated push rods, the reason was something about the guide plates rubbing, is this ture? Also does the length of the pushrods need to change with different ratio rockers?

Only the Crane rockers use guide plates on LS1's.
If you go for ours, you can use standard, or aftermarket push rods in standard length.

As a rule, most roller rockers are made to suit standard length push rods wherever possible. I'm not familiar with PRW so all I can suggest is fit up one pair and measure the lifter crush (pre-load). If they are stud mount adjustable then you just set them to 3/4 to 1 full turn past the zero lash point. make sure you are on TDC for each cylinder you set.
Cheers.
Mark.

Finished putting in the rockers, push rods and valve springs this week. I ended up having to buy yella terra rocker cover spacers, which are a great product come with every thing i needed to do the job. Car has more power and even sounds betta. Getting it tuned on monday cant wait.
