Hey.
I have a 1991 VP Berlina V6.
I want to beef it up in every which way possible.
excluding supercharger etc. as I'm under 25 and the insurance companies will not insure me.
So just wondering what I can do to get the max out of my engine and still be able to keep my insurance.
Everything is stock but I am looking at doing a full rebuild so anything that can be replaced to get more beef, please tell me.
there are mutilple threads on this forum for beefing up a buick v6
choose which path you want to take and head down that way.
but if you want to keep your insurance, remove the arieal, thats about all the mods you can do as a under 25 driver and keep the insurance.
i am the god of britany spears womanizer on just dance on the wii
not according to WA, lol.
turbo and SC is pretty much the only thing they wont touch.
just cars will insure you
there's heaps you can do, 4.2 ltr stroker kits, a decent cam, head work, just do a search through the forums, especially the v6 forum, there's bound to be heaps in there, good luck with it, i thought bout the same with my vr i had 3.5 years agoe, but the quotes i got were in the 9-13k mark depending on stock or turboed, but i know there's alot more out there now for these engines so prices will be a lot cheaper now,
good luck with it, will be a hot little streeter once up and running, good sleeper too with some forced induction later on.
To be honest insurers aren't going to know you've done internal engine mods (like stroking, rockers, tunes etc). It's not like they strip the engine and measure all the components.
If you avoid exhausts, intakes, wheel, body kits and went for a pure sleeper you'd get away with it.
go with AAMI they've done me really well
On the look out for my new VT 98
im not looking for insurers, lol, but thanks peeps anywas (Y)
AAMI will refer you to just cars, they wouldn't insure me on my stock vyss till i'm 30 cause its a v8, they gave me just cars number cause its there younger more modified car insurance part, yeh thats true you wouldn't have to tell them about the engine mods, just let them know its got an exhaust, cold air intake(if used) and leave the engine mods out of it, if in an accident they will look at the car and not the engine
why even bother spending money on crap get a vs champ
