Help! I labotomised my IQ!!

I was helping another forum member with a minor IQ issue, and he introduced me to Engineering Mode for the Series II IQ.
Here's what happened:

I'm too stoopid to fix it myself... I think I need to reset it or tune it properly - so anyone been in this predicament, if so do I need a special device?
Yes OFC it's out of warranty.

Hahaha.. Sorry I had to laugh....
(The reason being is that I have been there, and done that, and I panicked as well when I did it ).
The good news is everything is fine, You just need to step through the radio diagnostic process (Whatever that process is though, as I cannot find any information on this anywhere Lol)..

So currently you are at step 1,
I think tapping on the MORE button gives you some option to progress to step 2, and so-forth.

Worse case, remove the battery cable for 5 minutes, then replace.
(The IQ unit may take a further 1 or 2 minutes to reboot and do its thing from memory).

Also, the Factory reset works, but it takes a very long time for the IQ unit to reset. (Again around 1 or 2 minutes).
When you program these things and you force a hard reset, they take a very long time to power up, which is always very scary,
especially if you are trying to guess programming information, and are brute forcing stuff...

Yes there's just such little info on the IQ anywhere public on the Internet - seems freaky all the secret codes and lack of details?
Obviously Julian Assange doesn't drive a Series II VE.

Arhhh! Negative, still does not reset the IQ after being battery disconnected for five minutes. I could leave it longer but don't know if there's a point?

Is it still stuck on the Radio Step 1 of 7 thing diagnostics page ?
Or is it stuck somewhere else now ?

Yeah if it hasn't reset itself within the first minute with the battery removed, then waiting longer wont do a whole lot.

IQ head unit is still stuck without reception, battery disconnected until I need to use car, in hope of it magically restoring itself.

OK this is frustratingly unrecoverable for me at this point note this courteous warning as it is a moral dilemma - be fricken careful:
Hold down the Temp Ext and Demister buttons for five seconds.
If you go where I did then let the menu prompt timeout, don't proceed with "Next" at least!!
