Here's something I found in the Holden FSM that might help all of those
who have Intermittent Remote Key Operation.......And by what I've seen on the Forum, there's quite a few of you.....

So, before you freak out and go trotting off to your local Locksmith for a new fob,
or Holden or eBay for a new BCM, consider these suggestions first.

There's a few causes that will surprise you.

Intermittent Remote Key Operation –
External Electrical Interference
All V & W
(Group 12) TL0739-0407
CONDITION
Remote keys and BCM’s are being replaced by
Dealers attempting to rectify customer reports of
intermittent operation of the central door locking
system.
Testing of returned components shows that a high
percentage of these parts are not faulty.
CAUSE
High levels of external environmental electrical
interference can potentially cause intermittent
operation of remote key.
The following are examples of generators of external
interferences;

• Telephone transmitter towers
• Television transmitter towers
• Radio transmitter towers
• Multi story and underground car parks
• Overhead and underground power lines,
transformers or sub stations
• Wireless computer networks
• Electronic dog collars
• Other vehicles central locking remotes
• Remote transmitters (i.e.: Roller Doors)
• Automatic Doors (i.e.: Supermarkets,
Hospitals)
• Vehicle access tunnels (i.e.: Sydney Harbour,
Melbourne City Link)
• Climatic conditions such as rain
Some vehicle accessories or luggage can also cause
interference with remotes keys. The following are
examples of items which are known to have caused
remote operational issues:

• Excess or metallic base window tinting
• Large metallic objects in vehicle (i.e.: golf
clubs, fire extinguishers)
• Excess keys on key-Ring
• Satellite, digital or analogue mobile phones
• Faulty in-vehicle phone wiring connections
• Aftermarket electronic accessories
