anyone elses VT have a ticking noise to it??

My little brothers vt has quite a tick when accelerating from the engine bay area is this normal? The faster you accelerate the quicker it gets it just sounds like really loud injectors..

Does anyone elses vt do this?? If not what could be the cause?

If it's just a slight tick, It's probably just a noisy lifter, Wich is pretty normal for these engine's.
Or could be as you said, An injector.

Just make sure it has good oil, And keep up with the servicing.
I change my oil every 5k.
20w50 in summer, 10w30 in winter

If it's more of a knock, It may be the HB.

Get a piece of rubber hose, Start it up and poke around with the other end of the hose.
See if you can pinpoint the cause.

nah it dont sound like that ill have to maybe try get a video tommorrow if i can do a decent quality one, the best sound to describe it is really really loud injectors.

the sound your having though is identical to the sound i have in my vp commodore, ive been told to replace the fuel damper on it that should make it go away havent done it yet so i cant say it works lol.

It could be a cracked exhaust manifold.

Yes it would. I had an EF Ford with a very loud tick. Everyone said lifters definatley.
Turned out had a small hole in the extractors. Had it welded up. Quiet as a mouse.

If you can get you ear right down there without burning yourself, if it is a hole, you may hear a "pft" sound.
