Hi Everyone,

I am getting my new camshaft done next week which is 224 228 114LSA, and also thinking of getting a new set of the exhaust and get rip of the current one as it drone like ****.
Mine is an Auto, I love the crackle sound and need somethings with zero Drone or only bit of minor drone is acceptable.... as mine is cammed, won't go anythings too loud..

Few brands on my list as they're:
1. KPM exhaust
2. Sureflo exhaust
3. Manta exhaust

as above, they all good one.. bit hard to making a decision from which one to go..
Have been researching and listening from youtube.
Manta, KPM they sounds quite similar for me and sure they both gonna be loud if in 3".. heard from one of my mate said that Manta has the quiet version in 3" but have no idea what size cat body they have.
Sureflo with 3" cat back and they running 5" cat body isn't too loud and still can gain more power than others in 2.5"

What i have searched, they are in good feedback from other people experiences, looking at them in Stainless Steel..

My question is
1. Which one would you guys pick ( if without struggling what price they're ).. only need a quality one this time..
2. Does the cat body size will affect power figure??

I would go with the KPM, yeah they are on the expensive side, but the quality is top notch and the sound they produce can't be beaten in my opinion. Can i ask which exhaust you have on your car at the moment?

I have a KPM, fit is absolutely terrible, 3 exhaust shops can not align it. Sits way too low and already scraped through passenger side cat (car is low, I will admit, but the design could be much improved) Did I get a bad one? Possibly... but the exhaust shop said this isn't the first, or second time he has seen same issue.

On the plus side, it does sound very good.

would I buy another one..... **** no.

Pick of the bunch is CHE extractors mated to a sureflo 3 inch IMO, Sound is subjective, flow.... well they are all within a bees dick of eachother. Ground clearance, that one isn't subjective!

definatly goto sureflo for their custom. absoutly love mine. I just have the catback for the moment... No drone whatseover... its what sureflo is really famous for...
... It's so deep and angry. and only loud when you plant it... it really roars... has helmholtz pipes and all... Wait for the carbon to build up before you really judge it..

listen to the owner (gregs wagon) its auto. wagon and with AFM. IT is the worst for drone... I have the exact same setup but i chose NOT to get the merge.... It sounds a little beefier and about 2 stages louder without the merge. His a little bit toooo quiet for me.... but in saying that if i added sureflo extractors and got their new ballastic 5 inch body cats its going to be more louder and much more deeper( the cats sit so high up... they are really unique and since they have a hugeee 5 inch body that can only mean deeep!!!... The sound isnt for everyone ... its deep.. cant say it enough... and it took my exhaust about 2 months with carbon buildup and it sounds awesome and does the whole cackle pop..... I was a bit iffy when i drove it home.... but now i cant stop driving it :D

go for it...

Ask him to compare his car with brads grey redline ute ... I got the large rear mufflers... you can choose the smaller resonators but its going to be quite loud.

also there is no jig made up for this system as it can be all different. So it takes a while.... they can drive you to the movies or local shopping centre to kill time or wait in the waiting room for couple hours till they finish it. Bit of a job mate...

oh and one more thing... the whole system is straight through. no kiss pipes.... x pipes or whateever.... the pipe goes all the way through the front reso and the rears.... KPM i know has a front xpipe join. I have seen inside it , which in itself is restrictive. bassically your going to get the full amount of power out of your exhaust going with sureflo.

Feel free to PM me if you need more questions. Sorry I dont have a video at the moment but i guess if you truley want one ill have to get my girlfriend to film it on wednesday if you still havent made your mind up. Cheers

I have Sureflo 3.5in single system fitted with 100cpi Ballistic Cats, and Pacemaker headers. I chose their medium system, on Gregs recommendation as I am going to cam it soon, which will change the sound etc.

I can honestly say I am one VERY happy customer, and I do not hesitate at all to recommend Sureflo to anyone.

I love my 3" single Sureflow system mated to 4" ballistic cats and shorty headers, the whole lot tucks up nice and neat too.

I would go manta, best systems I have heard for a while. (haven't had enough experience with sureflo to judge)

Stay away from KPM, very overpriced for what it is and personally I think they have a very dull note, yes they don't get much drone but they also sound very flat in my opinion, not how a V8 should sound.
