Was there an engine in it? If not that could be why it wanted to sway, not enough weight up the front of the trailer.

Willing to bet real 12sec n/a 202 powered holden street car won't be cheap,reliable or pleasant to drive if you had to build one today.

Might get away with it if go auto & nitrous but then will feel lazy on street.


Had a bushpig 202 with triple webbers,solid cam m20/3.90 bango yada yada yada with 13.1 pb in much lighter lc gtr back in 90's-00's that broke eveything from flywheel back....would have got a 12 on slicks & smashed diff again or broken something else lol

Tbh could not imagine trying to drive with that setup these days with all the speed cameras & confiscation laws...it was way too wild & fun!!!

I have the same memories about my old LJ Tory with it's worked 202 and triples

Whilst it was fun for a while, it was a dog unless you were giving it a hit, and then there was the regular tuning because the wind would change and the tune would be off

And nowdays, most cheap hatchbacks would probably be faster

I would drop some newer engine it, like a turbo L67, or something

would be cheaper to put an LS1 auto and decent diff in it to get into 12's

My cousin that i mentioned is the holden nut said my hr has original floor vinyl, it has the original cardboard glove box and it has all the hard to find chrome trimmings

He said my floor vinyl is worth $500 alone

one reason I ran with 48 Webers.. was the tuning, set and forget!

done by a bloke called Tatey (him of HDT fame) he said if I touch it
he would break my fingers

I never did .. and it ran 12s every time
