Not so much, I try to keep it relatively 'family friendly' so I don't have to worry about segregating files so the kids don't run across anything too inappropriate.

It's all mainstream releases anyway. I don't trust Plex enough to put anything on there that couldn't be made public.

I'm so busy adding content that I don't have the time to watch everything... I do sit down and watch some titles that I'm especially interested in, but as above, I try to add a wide-ranging selection so there's something for everybody.

Probably a quarter of what I have isn't something I'd go out of my way to watch!

Having said that, I do enjoy a good slasher film but nobody else here really goes for them. o_O

These days I don't have the time nor the patience to screw around with that kind of thing. It's much easier just to buy a complete solution off the shelf.
Hmm i think i just did. My library is the same, no porn etc. but as you see kid's movies are separated any way, Plex is very good to customize so you can pin or unpin specific library's if needed, I feel Plex is secure and no one can see your library unless you invite them, or post on on JC

I used to have genre folders like that, but I found it too hard to categorize a lot of titles.

You don't really need to do that anyway, Plex allows genre tags per title and if you want to see only action movies then it's only two clicks to select that filter.
Yes the filters are good , but to be honest this is just another tech obstacle people struggle with, I know what you mean about genre categorizing but this is something i started back in the day before i knew about Plex and people wanted me to copy to a stick , it was easier to pick a Genre folder to copy , especially when kids movies were most requested

I've been running Plex for as long as I can remember along with Jellyfin in recent times. 72tb in a Qnap. With Sonarr, Radarr and Sab a couple of solid NZB and binaries services and NZB360 on my phone it's automation and metadata paradise and craps on my streaming services. I only maintain those to appease my conscience

Highly recommend it. There's a few bucks and configs but I just punch in what I want, it's sitting on plex shortly thereafter or as soon as it's available. Sorted, categorized and with all the fruit

NZB services source the asset from binaries AKA Usenet. You config Sonarr and Radarr with an NZB api to search and point them to your SAB api. SAB is configured with the binary access and then between all of them you config downloads, locations and rules like quality, size and for moving and naming conventions. You can throw something like Handbrake in the middle (api) for format conversions. It builds the perfect libraries for any media software

I use Handbrake to reduce the size of some files and to burn forced subs in occasionally . It will take a bit to get all this worked out in my head
