Att Vq/vp Irs Owners

Hi,i have just fitted VR/VS rear trailing arms into my VQ so i can fit later model wheels and not have clearance problems.If you wish to do this and you have any questions,ask away.

What is the clearance for, wider tyres or bigger rims?

With the standard VQ/VP irs off set most late model holden rims will rub on the inner guards.With this conversion you get about an extra 15mm each side outwards.I has VT ss rims and they sat on the inner guards .I tried SV6 rims and there was less than a finger between the arm and tyre and about the same on the inner guard.I now have a heap of room and no need for spacers.

Would you possibly fo a write up that could be made sticky.


Or you could just PM me, i have WH Grange wheels, and when i first got them, they rubbed on the inside bad. Although the rubber is gone now.....lol

yea im keen for a write up about this. was always thinking about doing this but have not seen any pics or heard much about it.

I've heard about changing the hubs to VR/VS ones, but never anything about the trailing arms.

I rekon it should just be posted in this section, as its really only applicable to people with VPs. A Sticky in here would be best.


Once you write it up, PM a mod with the link, and they can make it a sticky

Is my HSV "level ride" IRS different to a standard VP with IRS? The reason I ask is that the previous owner had 255 tyres under the arse & it didnt scrub(or maybe its just the offset of the rims).
