you got 2 options to change the k-frame, you can either use a engine brace which goes from gaurd to gaurd or pull out the engine... the too, used...
if its got fuel pressure and its firing on autostart, it does sound like it'll be your timing, the security system would stop either your ignition...

if its vac, it would work on petrol and gas, so that wont narrow it down from a fuel issue or igntion issue, but to me it sounds like you'r carby...

its pretty easy to fit a battery tray, but theres also the other option, battery in the boot...
