yup,that's a right mug thanks for all the help. my apologies for not getting back to this thread sooner...everything starting with COM was giving me trouble...commodore,computer hehehe. anyway, the other half did regap the plugs,all we could do at the time,they were rather out. car runs well...

i am having questions fired at me through the back window here "could it be the injectors as the miss is often intermittent?" though,i think a new set of leads wouldn't go astray.

that failure under load,wouldn't that show up an increased resistance in one or more leads,Skoot?

ok stupid question,could the resistance be too low? 1,3 and 5 tested at 5,000 ohms, and 2,4 and 6 tested at 11,000 ohms on average

leads are good.just tested well

going by the info i have given,could it be deduced that the coil pack could be degrading also? mate i am just looking for more trouble

Firstly,heyup. we have a VS Acclaim V6 series 2 (not sure how pertinent that last bit is). lately it has been missing,mostly when i go up an incline. i accelerate through it,and sometimes,it still misses at higher acceleration.misses occasionally at idle also. it isn't a consistent...
