Funny, above 120 the noise gets quieter and all but disappears at about 160 (or so I'd imagine hehe). Damn POS tyres, at least I got the rims cheap. I'll drive it as is until it pushes me to near insanity as I really hate to waste a virtually new product. Most of my driving is in city traffic...

Hi, just put some 17" VT SS rims on my ol' VR. They came with cheapo Firenzas (rear) and Achilles (front). With the stocky 15" wheels it was quiet as a mouse. Now it goes from a slight whirring at about 60ks to a bloody annoying whine at 100ks. Has to be the tyres as nothing else on the car...

I just put some VT SS rims on my VR. Had fairly new Firenzas on them when I bought them. Road noise is horrible at 100k's they whine like hell! Lucky I got the rims cheap, looks like I'm gonna have to change tyres before I go crazy.

Yeah it's weird. Doesn't do it when stationary unless the brakes are applied. I'm chucking on some new rims tomorrow so will suss out the ps rack while I'm at it. cheers.
