    Hi mate;
    Would you know what's going on and how to fix the following problem?
    My 2003 CV8 Monaro remote keys sometimes unlock and sometimes do not unlock the doors. Now both spare and usual keys do not start engine. The engine ignites, tries to idle then conks out. Can you help?

    Also was thinking the main battery maybe getting a bit funky, in regard to the intermittent unlocking problems. Check voltages after the car has been turned off for some time and during startup. The forum will help with expected voltages.
    The engine stopping after starting may mean it is not getting enough fuel.

    Again, security shutting fuel down or just simple stuff like a partially blocked fuel filter. My neighbour had that issue, admitedly with a 4WD. Try the simple/cheap items first.
    Then other paths such as checking crank angle sensor.
