Hello all,

My VX is doing its first show and shine tomorrow; part of the display will be a playlist of VX era (i.e. 2000-2002) tracks of different genres. I will be playing via ipod thru stock head unit with cassette adaptor. Have a display of things in the boot so boot will also be open all day; what would be the best method to ensure battery doesn' go flat? Was thinking about disabling boot light somehow.

Pull the boot globe out, maybe a little solar panel or trickle charger

your stereo is gonna drain your battery more than your boot light. just take a second battery or some jumper leads so if it goes flat you can still get home.

Pull the fuse for the interior lights. This will disable the boot light as well. That's what I do.

Buy a battery charger and run that for the day if they have power onsite, if not, second battery to jump it, and/or run the car every hour..

Lights will do sfa compared to running a stereo..

Ah, how long do you have to play the music for?

99' Series 3 VS S-Pac Ute.
Install a duel battery system.
One battery jumps the other one once it is flat to start the car again...

VE V6 auto (crazy i know! Haa)
The louder you play the music the quicker itll use the current in your battery so dont turn it up too loud for the day.
Interior/boot lights as mentioned draw little current so dont worry about those.
Use a charger if you can, either plugged into a power point or a mobile generator.
A second battery or jumper leads would be good spares to take yes.
