VX Acclaim Wagon S2,
I ran the SRS diagnostic software and it output the data below for a 2002 VX s2 Acclaim wagon, which has driver and passenger front and side Airbags.

I presume from the info that the drivers side airbag (located in the seat) has high resistance and needs to be changed.

I cleared the codes, but the airbag light came on and the fault/s remain.

It's not easy to replace a side airbag, so I was wondering if the data suggests any more detail and possibly the side sensor for example or some other easy fix.

If i do have to replace the side airbag, how do i go about doing that?

Any input would be greatly appreciated, here's the data:

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the airbag plug.

I haven't seen a DTC readout like that before, but it appears that the increased resistance for the RH side airbag is only marginally higher than the LH side. Simply removing the connector for inspection might be enough to clean the pin surface to allow them to connect properly.

I should of stated, i already unplugged it and rubbed some sand paper on the terminals to no avail, the ohms reading was still the same.

VX Acclaim Wagon S2,
The attachments from the Holden VT/VX Service Manual may be of assistance to you if you need to replace the module:

Thanks for those, they are a fantastic help. From what they say i think it's best to simply replace the module. I thought I was going to have to cut and sew the upholstery, but those diagrams make the process clear, simple and non-destructive. Thank you so much.

I phoned Holden about a replacement module and they said the part has been discontinued. They probably would have charged a lot anyhow, I'll find one...

Thanks for the help.
