A cam almost always makes it louder. Both of the cars I have cammed were louder afterwards

Removing mufflers and adding J pipes will make it louder, but it won’t get deeper. It will do the opposite. The mufflers if with the right filling (fibreglass) make it deeper

As I said in my original post, only the front 2 are active. Do standard length work with 4-1 headers O2 bung location?

My check engine light has come on and off periodically in my L77. Consulting with my tuner he advised the O2 sensors need replacing and that only the front 2 where active. I have DPE headers, and wondered if anyone had a link to the correct ones? Do I need standard length, or longer ones...

When I had the water Pump done on my L77 I went genuine GM The water pumps seem much cheaper for the V6. Should I go genuine, or look at gates etc?

I think it’s the water pump. What the damage on a mechanic doing that on a V6 you reckon? If it’s the case I’ll get it flushed properly

I just attempted this, and as I was doing the bleed I noticed coolant was leaking from the lower front of the motor. Could this be the water pump?

My cars temp got out of range, so checked coolant and it was low. Topped it up, and low again soon after. I filled it today, and saw it was coming out of the bottom of the entry pipe to tank. Looks like its a 2 piece design, when the filler pipe connects to base. Not sure if cracked, or...

If it’s interior that causing the smell then ozone is your friend. It will decompose anything organic. If it’s chemical I’m not sure. Where are you based?

I went from 2.92 to 3.45 LSD in my L77 calais with small cam and it was worth every penny in my book……

This….. The AFM mufflers are slightly louder than the stock V6 ones mainly at mid to high RPM I tried it as I wanted twin tips. I put the stock single tip muffflers back on

Most online stores have same cap for V6 and V8….. How do I bleed the system?

My V6 is making a gurgling sound after i turn engine off, which a shorn google search has indicated it might be a faulty radiator cap. Temp gauge seems fine. Are they the same cap?

Just did another oil and filter change, this time on a 3,000 km interval. Oil again was very black. Did the oil in my L77 at same time, on its 5,000 interval and oils was brown, but not black like the LFX. Car is running perfectly, but might need to continue shorter intervals for a while

My personal opinion if I was buying one is it adds value, only because I value the Difillipo / manta exhaust system they use. I would pay a small premium for a W310 /W375 /W407 pack over stock

My Calais V fuel gauge (both on instrument and digital) keeps reading ……. On digital and empty on instrument, then cycles back to reading amount and kms. I imagine it’s a sensor? Recently got engine light, which comes and goes, which I deduced was front O2 sensors. Car is running fine...

My VF now has decent scratches, gouges from shopping trolleys or small scrapes on most doors and guards. It’s phantom black metallic, so a notch to match. Was thinking about exploring a closed door respray as I want the same color. Any idea of what something like this would cost?

Definitely more punchy off the line It revs maybe 1000-1500 higher on freeway which at first annoyed me, but used to it now
