When changing coolant do you have to remove the reservoir or is there an easy way to drain it, I've read the pdf from ufo but I do not fancy removing the front wheel and wheel arch cover, or is it necassary to empty it. Regards Ronald

The idle,gear changes fuel etc. is all controlled by the cars computer.

I have the same thing in my Calias, have had it checked and I was told that it is ok, was told that the tranny works in a type of stepping motion from one gear to the other. Try rolling down a hill don't accelerate just let it roll and you should get the same thing.

The interclooler was fitted to the VT II Berlina. Looking at that picture it might only be fitted to the 6 speed Auto. I know my VE six Calais dosen't have any problems with cooling.

Lenny, yes I agree what you say and I wonder whether it is working,I have set on 27C but it does not seem that hot and also when you press the Auto it starts at your feet but it seems to stay there??

I think that $588 is not a bad price for that repair, I have had door dents repaired and they were around $380.00 so if you got all that done, thats ok.

Thanks Lenny, I also have that whine when you put the Air-Con on but because it still works I will give it more time to settle in as I have only done 3000km then I will see whether to take it in for Air-con check.

If you set the tyre pressure high wouldn't you get more wear in the centre of the tyre??

Boy1236, if you read my thread you would have seen I did not get a tyre placard fitted to the car when I picked it up!. The tyres fitted to the Calais are 225/55R17-97V. I will try 36lbs then move up, at 32 lbs it tended to strain the power steering a bit.

When I got my calais there was not a tyre placard on the car(it's on order) but what is an appropriate tyre pressure for the standard Calais wheel 17x7, I keep 32lbs in them but would more be better??.;)
