from what ive heard its just a complete waste of money putting a blower/turbo kit on the ecotec motor, the thing wasnt designed to handle that kind of stress, youd have to upgrade so many things for it to take the abuse. save ya money man you'll regret it, dont bother with the go-fast mods...

yeah from what ive heard the VY radiators arent that good, or maybe mainly the sort of berlina/exec models had the really cheapo radiator just made out of recycled coke cans or something :bang:

i paid 420 for new radiator fitted, removed old coolant ,flushed out engine and put in new coolant.

yeah basicly your paying what.. $200 for a little black painted piece of plastic and a clear indicator lense.. the other parts are the exactly the same by the looks of it. glad i painted them myself (white instead of black).. pain in the ass putting it in the oven and all that though.

heres the recipe to making you're commodore wicked: Add one teaspoon of rims. 3/4 cup of sporty exhaust system 20mL of darkest legal tint then lower thouroughly until satisfaction. :thumbsup:

Piece of shrapnel sized slag caught in the catalyct converter? thats what happened to mine when i got the whole exhaust done. think the guy said it came from the welding joints between the gaskets/headers, or something.. only seemed to tick after it got to a certain temperature or rpm...

if you painted the chromed piece inside the light gold would look unique, bit of a tricky job though. sorry didnt notice it was an s pac you dont need to paint the strips or anything. keep it as it looks man, save a few grand to put some better rims/lowered/tint/exhaust would look/sound wicked...

What kind of tune? dyno? my exec II seems to take its time when you max out 2nd gear and change into 3rd. Got quoted 1600 the other week for a dyno tune.. not really worth it if your not gonna force feed it or anything.

id love to put a 2jz in my VY, probably costs shitloads to get it rigged up properly? those things can handle so much abuse!
