yeh sorry to give u the bad news, but it seems as if ur in the same trouble i am, gearbox slipped down and then out of gear, gotten worse since, now it doesnt even seem to change gears up past maybe 2nd? and wont go into reverse :P check if it goes into reverse cos apparently if it wont go...

Hey i was just wondering if anyone knows if a VS gearbox would fit in a VR, are the gear ratios the same or wha? will it be worth getting installed as its cheaper than me getting a reco VR gearbox as i know someone who has a VS gearbox i can buy off them by the way its auto... forgot to add...

dont stress, i paid 2800 and 1400 later steering rack etc. and now the gearbox is dead.. :P but the engine seems fine and i think im willing to do the work, not worth it but in the end i think ill have a decent car thatll keep me goin for a while

my VR exec has done 231,000, engine seems to run fine but the gearbox is slipping now i think it should be something to check with so many k's, unluckily even mechanics didnt say anything about the gearbox! has a full service history tho and came with the book n all

mm yeh my VR exec is on 230 ks and i think... its shat itself.. driving along it slipped out of gear and wouldnt go back in until i put the shifter to first then when comfortable 2nd and then 3rd etc... but still didnt seem right in drive and didnt really wana test it incase i messed it up even...

yeh thats my issue a few revs will work but when ur tryna reverse into a tight spot it can be pretty dangerous, i think ill try the cleaner out.. cant harm, where u get it from? did you fix the problem kinkbike_rider?
