Have you replaced the cam sensor at all recently? I had a weird starting issue that ended up being a faulty aftermarket cam sensor that caused issues on initial start but then fired up on 2nd start. Replaced it with a genuine GM sensor and that fixed it.

You will find it cheaper and easier and much more legal to just sell the VZ and buy a VY wagon.

I'm fairly sure the VZ was the first of the cars to run Canbus wasnt it? if so its has a whole bunch of extra connections and sensors so putting an ecotec probably wont work and you'd probably find it easier and cheaper to get a clean VY and sell the VZ

As said in the other thread you made the VE is after the VZ which means its got a completely different diff and housing which wont fit a VX.
