have you checked your heater tap? its located below the ABS module, might be running along the rails and dripping near the radiator. If you're going to replace the heter hoses i would do the tap as well, they commonly snap around the fittings.

the VY/VZ had 2 constant power wires going into the back of the unit. I have heard that if you tap into the wrong one that it stops the alternator from charging. could possibly be the issue, trying to find the diagram. I cant remember which of the 2 constants you have to use - had no luck...

After seeing what people are doing with plastidip and that it can be peeled off at a later time, I decided to spray the gauge binnacle so it matched the rest of the dash. Is a little peely but the colour matches a lot better than it used to and can always be pulled off later.

As I had expected, change all of the clutch gear inside of the box, put too much pressure on the master cylinder. time for it to be replaced, hopefully no more gearbox issues after that.

chemiweld is like silicone beads, the better one is "cargo Seal up" it is like little metal flakes, works a lot better. I had customers with blown head gaskets use it and it fixed it for 12 months before letting go again.

yeah each head is independent, depending on the size of the crack someone may be able to ally weld the crack up for you. before doing anything too crazy i would pop a bottle of seal up in the radiator, might be small enough of a crack that it will seal it

the only way liquid can get into that tube is by having a crack in the head, if you coil packs in tight

"been in a small fire" doesn't look like it was a small fire to me. You would have to be crazy to want to rebuild that.

Makes more sense. I think you'll have to get under the car and trace where the wire goes. make sure its direct from alternator to battery, if it is just buy some 2B&S or 4gauge wire and rewire it & fuse it near the battery. good luck with it

unless if something has been damaged, i would doubt your issue is the factory cabling. would be a good idea to take the car to a shop with a midtronics and get them to test the battery & alternator. if the battery is down on CCA it will give you the illusion that the battery isn't holding...

Keep the 300.1 and run another 2/4channel amp for the speakers. with having 8ga wire through the car you will have to run through another power wire for the new amp as the 8ga isn't large enough to power 2 amps.
