    Monroe shocks

Just that the geometry is all wrong. The rear looks lower than the front. A different height King Spring may be ok, IDK? That, and I've noticed the reat tends to rock from side to side over some bumps. It's still a huge improvement over the OEM Monroe's though. I'm planning on refitting the...

    LS3 Air Intake

Calm down before you blow Milkshake. Seeing as you know so much and are so keen to call out BS, give my tuner a call. Ask them how they got the extra power (229 to 253kw) after fitting the HF cats and retune. It sounds like you may be able to teach them a thing or two from all your readings...

    LS3 Air Intake

My thoughts too 5.0. It was an interesting comparison for sure. But the results seem OTT. 325kw from a full exhaust, CAI and tune? Wow.

    LS3 Air Intake

Yeah, but then you're me are you. I stated what my tuner and the dyno sheets (which I uploaded said). Unless I missed something, mine has as much done as the one in the vid and made a bit less than 260rwkw. Hardly overstated.

Ok thanks. What a bloody nuisance!

    Updating the VF to 2020

Don't the indicators just flash when the car locks itself? I.e not due to the window module?

    Replacing L77 AFM lifters

Best to prime them before install. Then turn over the engine without starting (by removing ignition fuse or plug leads).

VEs are much superior to VFs. Discus.

My second car was a VJ Charger 360 4spd. Built it myself. Still miss it.

Which shocks should I get for my VF Redline?

Being a Calais man, I reckon you'll really like the FSD's.

    Monroe shocks

Yeah, I agree. It sounds like a good set of shocks should fit the bill for the OP. I rate the Koni FSD's as I've previously posted. They're s great balance / compromise between performance and comfort. The lesson I learned though was that I should have stuck with the factory FE3 springs. In...

    Jacking up a Redline

Oh dear. Thanks for the heads up. I'll take them back and grab some pin type ones. China!

    Jacking up a Redline

Yeah mate. Been good rain today. Still T shirt weather though. I wouldn't have thought to use Wet Dreams for the inner rims. I have a bottle in the car care cupboard. I'll give it a crack.

    Jacking up a Redline

Picked these up at Autobarn today. 25% off plus Staff Family discount on top. Fiddy bucks. Couldn't find any Aussie ones. These made in PRC to AS2538-2017. They'll do. My other set are Aussie made. By yours truly at TAFE NSW, circa 1985. They've served me well too. But another set at that...

    Jacking up a Redline

Yep. And we have sovereignty over it. We can legally take it back. Still, it was a dumb ass move to sign it over.

    Jacking up a Redline

Are you saying I'm easily offended? I don't like that comment. It's offensive.:p

    Jacking up a Redline

If we choose / intend to be offensive, we're offensive, irrespective of how it affects the recipient. If I throw a left jab and a right cross and you evade them, turn and walk away unperturbed, I'm still being offensive. I'm off to jack up my Redline.

    STREETFIGHTER COMMODORE 1000HP IN-TANK FUEL MODULE (VE-VF)

They're referring to the volume of fuel available and what that would equate to in terms of the fuel supply requirements of an NA engine vs an FI engine. FI requires a greater volume of fuel. So the point I think Villn808 was that trying to make was, that the volume those pumps can deliver would...

    Roto-Fab CAI Installation VF2

I do like the look of the K&N type filters as you say Panhead. But I wasn't very clear in my response above. I was referring to the look of the Roto-Fab over an OTR. Re the oiled filters, I've had a K&N in the OrSSom OTR in my Redline for over 6 years. I've only bought 1 cleaning and refill kit...

    Roto-Fab CAI Installation VF2

I have both. But, have only used the oiled K&N. I like the look. No idea how it compares to an OTR, all other things being equal.

    W407

I'm not saying it's good value, but I certainly understand your sentimental reasons for wanting the W407. A good mate of mine has one. I've been in it a few times and heard it more. It certainly drowns out my Motorsport, which has a Gen-F exhaust, headers and cats with stock bi-modals, a CAI...

AFM Mufflers for VFII SV6 Sportwagon will VE SS fit

I'm pretty sure that in the VF, only the Redline had the ball typre fitting. The others were flat flanges.

Which shocks should I get for my VF Redline?

No worries at all. If you're chasing a very firm ride, the FSD's probably aren't for you. There are certainly firmer shocks available.
  33. 426Cuda

Which shocks should I get for my VF Redline?

I don't mind the compliant ride. I was hoping for that. It handles beautifully and there is far less body roll than with the stock Monroe's, which were knackered. I rate the FSD's highly. It's more the rear ride height I'm not happy with. I can't lower the front further, due to my driveway...

    Help VF wagon tailgate

Meh. A lot of fuss and worse case scenario postulating gents. We've owned two sportwagons, combined they've travelled in excess of 180,000 and never had an issue with the tailgate. The same with the sedan boots. Fully electric, no key, and no issues. Two private, two business. Never had a...
