Im not sure how many were built either, pretty much everything i've found on the internet states "Limited Edition" which isn't helpful. A few sites i've come across say it was released in November 1980 and others say December 1980. Mine is stamped 11/80.

The VR engine should go straight in without any wiring difficulties. I've got a VR in my VN. I also have a VP gearbox and it bolted straight up to the VR engine. Note that a VR gearbox will need change or wiring and computer and the VR box's are elctronic..

Well after jumping in my engine bay for 10 mins whilst the other half had his hands under the wheel arch.. we've come to the conclusion that its something in the shocker/strut. He says there is a nut, right up in near the coil near the top in there thats possbily come loose.. not the top hat...

have a look at the shocks in my pic - the fronts - monroe gas gt lowered shocks. the back ones in that pic are for a wagon so i have pedders comfort shocks in the rear

Those my friend, would be like 4wd springs i pulled outta the car... not that i had 4wd ones in there... but when i got the car i coulda sworn they used 4wd springs from factory haha
