Hi guys. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Got a work colleague who just trashed the **** outta a rear alloy and needs to get it replaced. Anyone know of a supplier that can source 1? Holmart want $2,700 for a set of four boxed and without tyres, but that's pretty steep to replace 1...

hey mate. nice ride. one quick question - any whine on the system? I'm keen to put an amp, sub and speakers into my sv6, but I'm afraid I'll get that dodgy altenator whine everyone is talking about.

nice... you must have a bit of cash up your sleeve lol. I just went King Springs all round and it looks and feels right. Post pics when it's all done.

Mate I'd definately go 20s. Got 20s on my sv6 and it looks good (if I say so myself). If you go 22s, you will need to roll the guards I'm pretty sure, and then if that's not done properly you risk rubbing... more hassle than it's worth imo. You will need to change your springs at least though...

do the gts mufflers make a noticeable difference in tone?

Any whine on that stereo? I've been hesitant to put in an amped system after heaps of bad experiences with altenator whine.

Cheers mate. A bloke walked past the car while we were waiting to pull out of a car park in Surfers last week, then walked back around the car to tell me how nice they were. It was pretty awesome, considering once I had sold my original VE wheels they only cost me 950 with tyres.

Just took her on a trip up to Surfers Paradise. Really happy with it overall. One minor hiccup was that whilst we were up there, I parked the car with the air con running as I turned the car off, then when I started her back up about 15 mins later, no fan or air con. It was bizarre. Nothing...

So what's the deal? Can we get this fixed under warranty? Seems as though it's a fault to me.

Mate not sure bout the Kings... I'll double check and get back to ya. You definately feel the ride more, but that's the main symptom of bigger wheels and stiffer springs. I like it... I think the FE2 ride felt loose, especially around corners. The back end just kept goin! Now it's alot smoother...

I am experiencing the same problem on 20s. They have apparently been balanced when they were fitted, but since I have had my springs changed. I do think that Wholesale Suspension balanced it for me after working on it. Any thoughts? Is it just a symptom of stiffer springs and bigger wheels?

any whine on the sound system? I used to have a massive setup in my VX and since buying the VE, have been a little wary of putting in amps & a sub due to so many people getting altenator whine after amping up. Does the LC6 take care of that?

+1 for lowering. Don't worry about bottoming out - just don't get it dumped on its arse. I got my SV6 lowered on King Springs, 30mm drop at the front, 40mm drop at the rear. Bottomed out twice, both in Liverpool cos they clearly don't understand that a speed hump should not resemble Mt Everest...

SSV tails (did you get yours from holmart?), bee sting aerial. No performance mods (until warranty is up lol + until not getting smashed on insurance for being under 24). If your referring to Wholesale, I'm not really a local. Just heard that their work is that good that I ventured out there...

Yeah really happy with the ride height... aggressive, but not a hectic-mobile. Will check springs when I get a chance. Nah I bought the rims last week. Got some a1 condition SV6/SS 18s for sale if your interested? lol

I know and sadly I completely agree with pretty much everything being said. Just seems like we could cut the bloke some slack. After all, it's not like he's driving a falcon.

Not my cup of tea, but you know what? We do what makes us happy. And if your car makes you happy, then that's what matters. I gotta ask though... with all the mods piling up in cost... why didn't you just buy an SS?

Did you end up gettin those rims? Dunno what the DTMs cost, but I got Apec Beasts yesterday for $1850 with tyres, and I reckon they look similar.

They have a lifetime structural warranty, and I had some Apec Patriots on my VX, so they should be sweet.
