This questions has me really buggered... I've had two VS's which have seen 230,000 kays each. The engine internals have not ever given out. But of lot of other bits like water pumps radiators etc have.

Just curious to know how it works different to the 'non sequential injection'.

Would be great to see Holden getting this direct injection thing happening. It just makes so much sense to dump the fuel straight into the combustion chamber. With diesel motors I have driven with direct injection, they are just so much more fuel efficient than indirect.

my two cents worth... chasers. make sure you paint and get center caps for them though. (don't steal the center caps off the local cop car either - there $17 ea from Holden)

1. VZ. Sharp styling. very nice. dunno bout the alloytec but. 2. VT. In its day, it was by far the best family car around. they went down the right track with styling. 3. VS. External styling was o.k, interior a little dull.

those rims are actually VT Clubsport wheels. They are some sort of grey, whereas most you see are silver(?)... the bodykit looks good - even though its aftermarket. the amount of dogy body kit installs you see these days makes me sick...

i'm not cop bashing, but i can see where you're coming from. the person that answers the phone at the cop shop is usually very descerning and prioritises very quickly. i think this results in a non life threatening complaint being put at the bottom of the list....

from my experiences, keep your rubber boot (on the steering rod) in good condition. If this deteriates, it lets dirt eat out seals... I had this happen to me...

whether people own up to it or not, if its not their car they may well drive it that little bit harder. I take it for granted that when i leave my car at mechanics i may well have some young bloke taking it for a spin. As long as their is no rubber burnt, no panel damage...

for the $40 i paid for mine on ebay they are great. as has been said, back to back mod testing has shown they aren't too far off. also have checked mine against the willowbank counters and it was .1 second faster over the quarter mile

one query I have in regards to this also is... on the VS ecotecs, they have a stupid air inlet which pulls hot air from behind radiator. on the VT ecotecs they have a redesigned air inlet which pulls air from a slit on top of the radiator... these two engines are both rated to have...

I've seen 2005 VZ Executives going for $9,000 at public auction. Thats a fair bit of car for your money... You can also buy a very nice 1997 VS SS for $9,000 Its the big decision - Later model - Less Luxury, Less Performance (i.e V6) Earlier Model - More Luxury, More Performance (i.e V8)
