    one of the distributors I got through Repco, and the one that's in it now is an RAE. I swapped the gear on it since I've heard the composite ones tend to shatter. I'll look for an extra brown wire on the neg terminal but I don't think there is one

    Got 3x 50mm earth straps from battery to body/engine/bus bar. coil and ecu earths are to bus bar. I have wiggled every single wire in the car trying to get it to stall to see if there is a split cable shorting out but no avail.

    No codes pop up per say, but I can view and monitor in real time what all sensors are doing and log it. everything looks to be working fine until it stalls. nothing in particular goes out and triggers the rest to stop. the logs look the exact same as if someone was turning the motor off.

    New lead with new coil. the motor is in a gq patrol.. so the fuel tank vent is the standard setup that goes up to the charcoal canister. fuel pressure doesn't drop when the car stalls. its a hard cut on ignition i just cant find where the problem is. battery terminals are tight. accessories...

    I'm not sure on the specifics of the tune needed for this cam, but it does say in the crow catalogue that retuning is not required? the cam basically a replacement cam for the 215kw HSV motors, and I am running a HSV memcal so that may have something to do with it. but it does run really well...

    it's a Nissan re4 transmission. it's been fully manualized so its independent from everything else.

    I have no idea. I bought the conversion loom and ecu off some guy a few years back. its HSV stamped and has "unlocked" written on it. I do recall him saying that it has been modified for the conversion.

    yep.. the loom has no brown/yellow in the ecu plugs. it has a modified memcal so I assume that has been made to ignore it. when warm, the car runs perfectly, it idles, accelerates and decelerates fine. its only on cold starts where it doesn't want to idle.

    that doesn't make much sense from a logical point of view. if you're rolling and put the car in neutral, it should idle. Maybe i'm wrong. There is no speed sensor as a part of my loom, and there are no speed sensor pinouts on my ecu.. it is a manual ecu. the car still idles when its supposed to...

    I have already tried to reset the idle exactly how you described but it is still doing it. i'll give it another go tonight. there is no speed sensor because it is mated to a re4 gearbox (manualised), which is wired up to the bcm of the patrol. i am using a conversion loom so there is no gearbox...
