I ended up fixing it - i found the previous owner must have had issues with the fan not working on the radiator so to sort that the bright spark decided to drill a whole in the engine loom grommet on the firewall to run some wires through to a switch he fitted. Now instead of drilling straight...

It has been bypassed but think the issues is something burnt out in the loom so just going to replace it - big job but done it a few times before....

After info on sorting the speedo on a vc commodore with a Vn V6 & vn vp 4l60, been told theres an adapter you can buy thats both cable & has the speed sensor as well. Trying to find out what theyre called & if theyre on ebay, i'm in Nz so not a lot of info over here. Cheers for any help......

Got made a wicked offer for this so sold it but just over a year later i spotted it with a new owner so hit him up & got it back for way less than i sold it for so just going to chuck it together soon. Wont be selling it again i no that much.....

Yeah checked everything tonight just not getting power through, will do further checks on it tomorrow & if no joy i'll just run power to it off an ignition source, My other wagon heres had the same issue by the looks they bypassed that before i bought it to. Joys of holden wiring.....

Progress is slow been flat stick with work, insides almost done. Left rear electric window motor to fit then all the seats can go in, wirings close to finished in the rear. Had to make a rear loom to suit the car loom in the wagon, that was pretty easy just the high stop light & number plate...

Got a mint ecotec & trans for this today, took it for a run & goes well so as soon as this weather clears which might be a few days ill start on swapping that over. Wont be long untill it's on the road i'd say, be handy with winter coming so can park the v8 up.......
