One thing I can't wrap my head around if it's this submerged hose is in the order it's prior to the check valve but somehow causes a issue. Bizzare. I read it's a special hose for submerging and it's like $50-+ for 30cm.

Hi, I've noticed 4 pin my thermo fans plug has gone very brittle and needs replacing, my question is what AMP universal plug can I swap it to I've looked at a Narva one and it's 20amp but I feel it's not enough do I need 30, 40, 60?

Not sure how it is with a V6 but from what I've read with the LS1 you have to write the PCM file to a laptop with a tuning software like EFI live then remove vats save it and write it back to the PCM.

Hi, question on that would be it's passed a pressure test, if it was faulty would it still pass? Just have to add sometimes it will start first go hot or cold.

Is the hole in butterfly drilled out to a larger diameter than stock? stock is 3.5 mm check by placing a drill bit by hand into the hole if a 3.5mm fits snug......etc... Is it Stock, tuned, cam?

On the bottom of the Cable operated TB`s( VT2-VY2 LS) there is a small Allen key screw located vertically on the bottom of the tension spring for the cable. , this opens or closes the butterfly depending on which way you turn it, its a idle speed adjuster.

Good job Guy`s you scared him off with your bands and drums, I was trying to keep it dead simple, straight out just check the quality of the fluid, number 1 killer of trans is HEAT number 2 is abuse/poor servicing.

For absolute simplicity get under the car and unbolt the cat and start the car straight out the extractors bet you it revs better, then you know 100% the cat is ####ed, not to mention you can just visually inspect the cat to see if its blocked.

The cats type wont be affected by the presence of the EGR, the VY may fit, if the bends joins etc are the same get under yours and have a look.

VDO may also be a good option.

Check Fluid level trans has to be warm on flat ground and engine running and in P, Fluid colour, pink/red=clean, brown/black= dirty/burnt and it will smell burnt too, if this is the case I`d recommend a MAJOR trans fluid flush inc torque converter. When was the last minor trans service?

Yep sounds familiar tomy sisters VE, someone has snapped the adjuster mount (its plastic) by most likely still applying torque/force after the lense had reached its top or bottom adjustment point.

Happy to stand corrected but......... The Tailshaft is different as the VT S1 (97-98) V6 and 5.0 V8 used the M78 diff vs the LS1 using the larger M80 diff and the flanges are different. Even the VX s1 (00-01) LS1 got the LS6 style intake, LS6 is a LS1 just speced up a bit.
