ok, I'm confused... so i went for a drive down the freeway and back probably 30 min drive, car off for 20 then 30 min drive back with the digital gauge on, the highest it got was 75 and that was sitting at the lights and the gauge itself had started to move up just under the 1/4 mark then it...

Hi guys my vy v6 gauge doesnt work. Sometimes if i turn it off and on a few times i'll go up to 1/4 but it doesnt work whilst driving Will replacing the sensor fix that or would it be a wiring thing? Cheers

sounds like what happened to mine before i sold it. spent months trying to work it out, as soon as the car was warm itd die. spent hours on tow trucks. (luckily i had free 20k towing, id never get far :p ) it turned out to be in the fuse box, i think the tachometric relay, i pulled it out...

check your fault codes.. what light is it? did u drop it from neutral to drive? powertrain light maybe should be okay just dont do it again.. lol

####ed the harmonic balancer haha, apparently a common problem.. glad ive seen it when i did, the mechanic said it doesnt look bad but his gonna pull it out and inspect the crank etc to be sure.

never had a problem with them.. maybe the old rubber was still on the engine next time check
