Haven't had time to update this, I'll post up all the inbetween bits on my website at some point - check the below link for updates!...
Ok slight update, my car made it onto MCM's page haha...
dem seats hnnnng
Boy does this need an update... but I don't have the time. Many things have happened, engine is back on the car - it'll be back better than ever...
Heads were MLS finished last time, just a clean should be all that's needed this time.
HAHA, nope. Shiny clean before it all goes back together. Keen to drive something with actual torque again, the subi is great but nothing beats v8...
New fitting sorted and welded onto sump, passes leak test
VALVE TRAIN ORGANISER
Girdle to improve the silly one...
Glad you went and got the proper tool to get the spigot out, it's the only way to do it.
Really? fair enough then. I thought the motor they used would've been physically bigger than an LS, but maybe in the right areas. The AWD is...
Absolutely frothed hard over that stagea, would love to own one one day. But, it should've been LS, using that japanese v8 was just a lot of work...
Sure have, epic car. Super gramps runs the bigger EZ36 (3.6L) out of a tribecca. The liberty's came out with flat 6 cylinder options as EZ30's...
It's a smaller car than the commodore (good), but I haven't had any issues with space. I've had an ecotec and an engine crane in the back (seats...
Checking in to say this is the best car I've ever owned, reliable, fun to drive, comfortable, good on fuel and looks great. Loves it
Bit of an update, last few weeks I've dropped the motor out, installed the whiteline front sway bar and started the cam install.
I swear i've posted it like 8 times since I bought the cam in 2014 lol.
222/227 .602"/.598" 113+3
Summit order arrived the other week, good **** ready to go in. Over the next few months the motor will be coming out for a cam swap, new surge...
Lol, not yet. Turned it on today, still runs.
Updates! None of the VY sadly, check the other two threads.. :)
Few upgrades on the lib, Invidia Q300 catback, Bilstein shocks and wheels from a spec b - with king spring lows. Came up an absolute treat.
Slight progress: T56 spline fitted to the factory, ideal length r31 tailshaft.
Few updates of what i've been up to lately:
Nah, I'll be sad if I put the VY into a wall - zero ####s given with this.
At this stage I'm just focusing on getting it bolted in and running BUT I do have a spare turbo... :D
This project has actually been in the works for a while, but didn't want to bore you all with the hideous lack of progress that has been the past...
gg. skid contest see who's timing chain breaks first? :p
don't you have to machine the front timing cover too? double rows still break.
the stock one has kept up fine so far, I don't really see...
Nope, single row. Double's a pain in the rear for little if any gains.
Cheers man, I've been running the stock in-tank pump with the fuel regulator disabled, feeding a surge tank with a single bosch 044.
Haha, sorry been flatout moving jobs at the moment which is exiting. Have a few goodies arriving for the cam :)
Drove this the other day. Was sweet.
Your wastegates are 44mm ;)
she's getting there..
Loving the new clutch, so light and has more than one level of engagement unlike that last one which was on or off..
Haven't really been able to...
My god, what an epic build. Good work mate.
Bloody amazing tyres. Hard for me to compare them with heat, at winton they seemed to cope very wheel but I don't really have enough experience to...
I approve of these wheels.
Pretty sure you earn more than me ;)
All the whiteline stuff I got really cheap and the RXT is actually priced pretty well.
Camber kit, rear sway bar, mcleod rxt
So, been busy installing a few parts. Whiteline rear sway bar and camber kit.
