for the price of them you could get one done at an exhaust shop, and you get to choose different mufflers so you can pick your own sound.
the way they (ssv) did it on my rear bar was to bend it arround the edges and glue it with something that lookes like liquid nails.

If you dont wanna use a diagnostic cable the only other thing i can think of would be running a data logger, but that would be farely hard
