i think they open at 3000
I can manually turn off a/c - as long as I am not in recirc mode. In recirc mode a/c is on, and the air is cold.
Unless it has been extensively tracked, then it is pretty hard to flog a car like that on public roads.
most of the forums i've been on struggle with uploading videos directly to them. Youtube is a piece of piss - come on daveo, we're all waiting !!
I wanted a wagon, but they only come in auto. So I have a sedan. Very happy, but I did want a wagon.
possible loose connection - get a good auto-elec to look at it
ahh right...i should know how to do that
Sorry, that wasn't in the OP's post, but I just saw it in yours a few posts later.
Nothing to see here then :) <edit> what ad - was there an ad ? />
well yes, but you can't just put bi-modals back on without changing the rear muffs as well. That was the point.
How can bi-modals work with rear mufflers like that - ie. one outlet with a twin tip
so what might cause this? no obvious loose hoses
Did the VE do rev-matching?
Friday was driving home, been driving for perhaps 30mins, and stopped at lights. Car idled at about 1500 RPM, then gradually settled to ~1000
haha. well it depends on the sort of trips you do - mine is a mix of 60 zones, plenty of 80 zones and about 5-6 minutes on a freeway - about 30km...

LS3 doesn't have DOD - i think the OP is 6.0L
I go sailing, so if I had this problem, then.....

i suspect they are the ones the dealerships sell from ac delco
Sorry, when I said balance I meant alignment
I notice this forum seems to have some self-correction for 'bad' language. I am new to this one, so i have some learning to do
So I go to get my wheel rotation and balance today, and they call - where's the lock nut key ?
I said it doesn't have any.
Yes if fuc.ing does.
I'm willing to bet that internet forums being what they are, if you put u 2 blokes in a bar, with a beer or 2, you'd have your 'arguments' but...
I am enjoying this thread. Anyway - dropped mine to 38 today. Will see if I like it. Meanwhile I can monitor it in the car as kPA
i should prob read the manual - never knew about this setting o_O
I find the box to be pretty good. Obviously cannot compare it with the GTI I just had, it's a much bigger heavier driveline. For slow speed...
I may be wrong, but most of the drone issues seem to be with the 6.0L rather than the LS3 ?
So @ my latest service at the stealer, they recommended i get an alignment. (19K) And pumped up the tyres to 42 (and didn't rotate them despite...
yeah i have 19s so maybe i'll play around at 38 ish...
So I've had my first and last service at a dealer, and whilst they seemed ok, didn't rotate tyres despite stating they did, i noticed the tyres...
Run away. Now.
It's like when they ask how much you owe on the car, and then they come back and say, we can offer you - surprise - what you owe on...
Agreed - but I think the OP has the older Manta system before they joined DPE - so he doesn't right now have DPE
I thought Manta now owned DPE - or do I have my pipes crossed?
Worry less about the reliability of turbo Jap motors than that of our modern German machines - particularly DSG equipped cars.
And agree - SUVs =...
